Now It’s Time To Say Goodnight
Goodnight is such a lovely word. Either it is really sad or romantic. In any case, it is really meaningful. No wonder you are all fans of that song by Hale.
Goodnight always has a context, both for reasons why it was said and how it is to be interpreted. It always means much for me, whether I were the one who sent it or I were on the receiving end. Goodnight is very very meaningful. Have I said it already?
I send a special (for me, at least) goodnight message to someone, almost too religiously. Well, well, even if the world is already dead by 2 am. Whereas a good morning evokes a plain greeting that means ‘we must happily face the new day’, goodnight is usually a message sent out of remembrance, out of concern, out of last waking thoughts. Besides, goodnight packs a very powerful message in just a single word.
I send goodnight because I mean it. Goodnight, goodnight, sleeptight, sweet dreams, a peaceful regenerative sleep. Goodnight, you are on my mind before I close my eyes, goodnight because you were in my prayers, goodnight because I am hoping that you will have peace, goodnight because you deserve my simple way of saying, ‘it must be love.’
Goodnight because I am thinking of you.
